Easy Homemade Karela or Bitter Gourd Bhaaji


 

The Karela or Bitter Gourd is easy to cook with just few ingredients. This vegetable has lots of nutrition value and helps to maintain good health. I have made this simple Karela bhaji for dinner and would like to share this delectable recipe with my lovely readers.

 

Ingredients:

  • Karela (Bitter Gourd)- 4-5 medium sized
  • Onion(Sliced)- 1
  • Tomato- 1
  • Green Chilli
  • Turmeric Powder- 1/2 tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder- 1/2 tsp
  • Jeera Powder- 1/2 tsp
  • Salt
  • Oil

Step 1: Wash and clean the Karela and cut according to your choice.

Step 2: In a wok, heat oil and add dry red chilli and then add sliced onions and green chillis.

Step 3: Add Karela to the onion after the onion turns pink. Saute it for 2-3 minutes.

Step 4: Add all the masalas.

Step 5: Add tomaotes and then saute again for 3-4 minutes.

Step 6: cook it uncovered for 8-10 minutes in medium flame. Keep stirring in between.

Your karela is ready to be served. Serve it warm rotis and paranthas.
